Transparency
An easy way to build trust through customer service is by offering transparency.
For example, if a customer raises a complaint, rather than denying or ignoring it (as many do), address the issue openly and honestly.
Let them know what went wrong and what steps you are taking to fix it — and you could even consider sharing this publicly when appropriate.
This openness shows prospective customers that you have nothing to hide and that you will take care of them.
