How to define your audience
Once you’ve uncovered your unique value, now we need to clarify who will benefit from it most.
Start by creating a detailed profile of your ideal customer.
Here’s a template you can use – this will help prompt some of those details.
As I’ve mentioned previously, it can be helpful to picture a few of your best existing customers as you’re doing this.
Take a few of them and combine them into one big “super customer”.
This “super customer” may feel a bit unrealistic at the moment, but disregard that right now.
Consider their demographics, psychographics, interests, needs, and problems… everything.
Be vivid.
The more specific you can be, the easier it will be for us to connect with them.
Once you have this person defined, set it as your phone’s background, print it out, hang it on your wall— whatever you gotta do to keep this person in your crosshairs.
