Instead of working in isolation and unveiling a “big reveal” Don Draper style, I take a bit more collaborative approach. Before ever opening any design software, I work closely with my clients to think through the solution and cast a clear vision. This is something we do together. It saves time, eliminates unnecessary back and forth, and keeps us aligned throughout the entire process.

I like to think of it as making music. The founder is the lead songwriter, and I’m just there to mirror their ideas, jam with them, and add my own ideas and contributions wherever necessary. It’s never about one of us dictating a solution—we arrive at it together partners.

Here’s a glimpse into the outcome of a session this morning with a founder who has designed a new medical device that is going to drastically improve the quality of life for a lot of people:

Today, we focused on structuring the homepage, and talked about how we could incorporate 3D renders / animations. I will share more here as we progress!
