Barn phase two
About a year ago, my wife and I built a barn on our property.
It's a pretty simple structure - just a big rectangular shell.
The plan is to use half of it as a garage/shop...
And the other half as a big open flex space.
Something we can use as an office, band practice space, party zone, etc.
We're finally getting around to building out the interior.
I'm acting as the general contractor and managing the whole thing—
Framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, etc.
It can't be that different from running a branding project, right? đŸ‘€
Right now, we're in the middle of electrical and I already broke one of my biggest rules.
Long story short…
Save yourself a massive headache and DO NOT pay your contractors a deposit before getting all of the specifics in writing (scope, price, and timeline).
Oh well ... you live and learn đŸ˜‘
